Don Davis, NC Senate

Davis has been mayor of Snow Hill since 2001 and was reelected in 2005 with 86 percent of the votes. Eastern North Carolinians clearly recognize the meaningful change Davis has brought to the town. Improvements in affordable housing, street resurfacing, recreation, community activities, housing rehabilitation, downtown revitalization, historic preservation and strategic planning have invigorated this eastern North Carolina community.

A 1994 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Davis holds masters degrees in administration and sociology as well as a doctorate in education. His eight years of service as a military officer combined with his experience as mayor provide a solid foundation for thoughtful legislative leadership.

Currently, Davis serves on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina League of Municipalities representing District 4, including Wilson, Pitt, Greene, Lenoir, Wayne, and Johnston Counties. He also serves as a member of the East Carolina University Board of Visitors.
